Bonus Opportunity
Students will recieve up to 30 bonus points for attending the following event. To prove they attended and to obtain all 30 points, they must write 3 well-written paragraphs (topic sentence, 3 supporting sentences, and conclusion for each paragraph) about their visit (what they saw, heard, learned, etc.)
CIVIL WAR DAY
The Bollinger County Museum is proud to present Civil War Day on Sat. March 12, 2011. The museum will have extended hours that day of 12-6:00 PM. Come by and see what’s going on to honor the Civil War’s 150th anniversary. The schedule that follows shows a few of the activities for Sat. Mar. 12.
The traveling exhibit "Divided Loyalties: Civil War Documents from the Missouri State Archives --Grand Opening Sat. March 12, at 1:00 PM.
Wayne Klinckhardt-Civil War re-enactor and author of "The War for Missouri" will be here in his Confederate clothing. Wayne will have some of his Civil War artifacts to show and will answer questions from individuals.
Jerry Lutes-Civil War re-enactor will have a musket demonstration, talk with individuals, and have some Civil War items to show. Jerry will dress in his Union outfit.
The museum's Civil War Discovery Trunk will be available for exploration.
